5 Minute Face
Today's post is something I really wanted to share because I know how almost all of us always seem to be in a rush! Luckily most of the time I am able to sit and do my makeup during my daughters nap, but there are some mornings where we have appointments or errands to run and don't even have time to shower. That's where this post comes in handy. I seem to grab the same 5 products whenever I'm in a major time crunch so I thought I would share with you all!
First let me start by saying these products are SO easy to work with so if you don't have time or don't have brushes, you don't need them. Everything is able to go on with your fingertips.
Step 1: Apply this CC cream all over your face. This stuff has been LIFE CHANGING for me. It is completely full coverage, but you can throw it on like your moisturizer and it has the added benefits of Anti- Aging products infused within so not only are you looking good when you use it, your skin will also start to look great AFTER you wash it off. Win-Win in my book. I use this over my moisturizer, but if you don't have very dry skin you can skip that altogether and put this on directly after washing your face.
Step 2: The Garnier Under eye pen is something I've used for like 6 years now off and on. Its something I always seem to have around and for good reason! Its so easy to quickly apply under your eyes, blend in with your ring finger and it truly brightens up your entire under eye area without much creasing. Ive come to realize I will probably never find an under eye concealer that doesn't crease at least somewhat for my under eye area, but its usually pretty fixable by just blending out with your finger a few minutes after applying. After that it usually won't crease the rest of the day once its dry. The other thing I like about this is that it doesn't leave your under eye super white and light. One of my pet peeves is having unnatural looking white "bags" under my eyes. I like that the product covers up any darkness and leaves it a little brighter while still looking natural.
Step 3: I use an eyelash curler. Shu Uemura is the only one I will ever use as long as they make it because its just better than any other Ive tried, and NO all eyelash curlers are not the same! This is coming from a girl who has tried so many and also coming from someone who has really long but completely stick straight lashes. Something about this one just really gets that beautiful curl and doesn't "crimp" your lashes. If you don't need an eyelash curler then I truly am jealous of you.
Step 4: Next I use this Maybelline mascara. I just recently discovered this from the drugstore and I'm obsessed! I always use a waterproof mascara. It just holds the curl ALL DAY LONG, and into the next day if you really wanted it too (not something I recommend though!). For someone with stick straight lashes its just a must. If you're wondering how I get the mascara off, I'll be sharing a post soon about my favorite makeup remover!
Step 5: To finish off this super quick "no makeup-makeup" look is this NYX lip gloss in the color Fortune Cookie. I swear by this stuff. Ive gotten my girlfriends into it, and I currently own 7 tubes of it just in case. It is the PERFECT nude, it goes on so smooth, plumps up any little fine lines in your lips to make them look fuller (that isn't something the gloss claims to do it just does it) and goes on like butter (hence the name). Its literally the smoothest, non sticky gloss I've ever used. Oh and smells divine.
So that wraps up my 5 minute face. It seems much longer writing it and probably reading it, but I love all of these products and they are things I've been using for years. You can always add a bolder lip if you want to dress the look up a bit more, but this is exactly what I do when I'm trying to get out of the door as quick as possible while still feeling a little bit "done".
